Dear Parents,
It is still so hard to
believe that it is this close to the end of the year!!! We LOVED our field trip to Sungei Buloh! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF THE PARENTS WHO
CAME WITH US! Huge spiders, monitor
lizards, crocodiles, crazy ants…..could it get any better?!
I wish all of our amazing moms a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!! I hope your family
spoils you this weekend as they celebrate the amazingness that moms are!!!!! J Your cutie has a couple of things to give you so please remind
them if they forget!!! J
We had a busy learning
week. This week we…
*learned the sound, hand
motion and letter formation for the letter Uu.
*added umbrellas to our feely letter Uu.
*brainstormed words that
began with Uu and added them to our alphabet journals.
*moved little umbrellas up
and down to practice the sound.
*concentrated on making
some things for a VERY important and special person in our lives…MOM! Your cutie has some things to give you to
celebrate how amazing you are!
*thought about our favorite
things about Pre-K and drew them for the last page in our portfolio.
*drew our May self
portraits—it is so amazing to see the difference from August for many of our
cuties!
*read books about
caterpillars and butterflies and their life cycle.
*revisited the concept of
symmetry by making butterflies with paint and smushing the sides together so
the wings are symmetrical.
*played Buggy Bingo and
various beginning sound and phonemic awareness games.
*pretended we were insects
of ALL kinds in our dramatic play center!
