Loose Parts Project...need inspirational items!

Our students have been interested in using a variety of different objects and materials to inspire their explorations and play.  In early childhood education settings, loose parts mean alluring, beautiful found objects and materials that children can move, manipulate, control and change, and they provide infinite possibilities.

We are asking that you send in some things to inspire us.  Can you please send some things to school to help us out?

Some ideas:
Natural Materials
Stones, sticks, acorns, wood pieces, dry leaves, shells, little rocks, beans,
Artistic Supplies
Scarves, wire, glass (safe of course)
Recycled Materials
Cardboard pieces, paper towel tubes,
Interesting Tiny Things
Beads, buttons, glitter, bottle caps, marker tops, glass stones,
Building Supplies
PVC pipe, spools,
Miscellaneous
Colored ball Christmas ornaments, little baskets, colored plastic, colored rice, baby food jars, small picture frames, small metal pots or pans you don’t need

Have some fun finding a few of these things (not limited to the list above) with your child for them to bring in to the class for our next project.
